Hotel Hafen
This is the conference hotel as shown on the photo. The Symposium takes place mostly in the "Elbkuppel" on the top floor.
Motel One
This is a nearby hotel which may offer lower rates and is within 8 min walking distance to the conference hotel.
Arcotel Onyx
This is another nearby hotel which also offers slightly lower rates and is within 6 min walking distance to the conference hotel.
Youth Hostel Stintfang
If you are looking for rock bottom rates this youth hostel could be your choice. Note that the lowest rates are fr a bed in a. room with 8 or 6 bunk beds It has excellent reviews and is only a 4 min walk from the conference hotel.

Buy the 9 Euro ticket for local transportation in Hamburg
For local public transportation buy a 9€ ticket, which is valid during the entire month of July
The 9 € ticket is valid for one month. This ticket will cover all your local public transportation in Hamburg including transfer between Airport and Hotel and transfer between Hotel and the Conference Dinner location in City Hall.
You can buy this ticket online or at a ticket machine when you arrive.
This ticket also covers local/regional transportation anywhere in Germany.
It is, however, not valid for long distance travel on Intercity and ICE trains.

You can also download the HVV app for public transportation in Hamburg and buy the ticket through the app.
